A worldview is how someone see the world around them. It is often described like a lens on how we see the world. A Christian worldview is how believers see the world this differs from non-believers because of the hope that we have in Christ. The life, death and resurrection of Christ give us hope to keep going in the hard time of our lives. Christian worldview is not making every thing about Christ and adding versus to research work as historians.
An example of a Christian worldview would be during the times that we are now where everyone is scared of a virus and what is happening with the government of the nation. A Christian world view gives us hope that we know who is going to win in the end and that our lives are in the hands of a Savior that loves and cares for us. (image below Hand of God nebula)
Without a perspective that comes from a Christian worldview a person might get lost in the confusion of life easier than someone with a Christian worldview. A Christian worldview tells a person that they are loved and that their life matters. There is hope for not just this life by there is hope for life after this one. The promise of heaven for the believer means that they know that when life on earth ends it is not the end for them.
It is important to have Christian worldview as a historian because you can look at images (like the one above) and read about times in history and know that God had his hand it. Even through it hard to wrap our heads around some of the terrible events of history having a Christian worldview means that God was there in the midst of it all giving people hope.
